Melvin Da Joint, also known as Joint 77, has revealed that he is now more successful, well-known, and musically superior to when he was working with Shatta Wale.

On the Koforidua-based ABEN Fm’s Entertainment broadcast, he told Kumi Kasa and DJ JahSolo that he is more well-liked than ever.

“I can say I am now popular than the time I was with Shatta Wale’s SM label, I can now explore and exhibit my talent and it’s taking me far”

Joint 77 was one of three militants, including Captan, Natty Lee, and Addi Self, who backed Shatta Wale and collaborated on hit songs like “Taking Over” and “Thunder Fire.”

Their partnership with Shatta Wale seemed to be going well before Shatta Wale violently revealed on his Facebook page that he had fired all the militants but retained Captan.

Shatta Wale later identified the cause for the Militants’ dismissal as betrayal on the part of his militants.
