Okyeame Kwame, a Ghanaian rapper, and his wife Annica have revealed that their wedding ceremony cost only GHC300.

This was revealed in an interview with Graphic Showbiz ahead of the weekend release of their first novel, Love Locked Down.

“We do not really care what anyone thinks about us or our marriage, we live our lives,” Annica said of their relationship.

“We married the way we wanted to, signing at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) without rings for about GH300, and we did not give a damn what our families thought.“

While many people believe celebrities just show off their positive sides on social media and keep their dark sides hidden, Okyeame Kwame and Annica have stated that they do not lie about their marriage.

They maintained that the extra attention that publishing their book would bring to their marriage would not bother them because they had been honest.

“I believe it was Plato who said, ‘The purpose of all inquiry is truth,’ so I am not worried about my marriage being scrutinized. Okyeame Kwame explained, “I am not afraid of what it will reveal because it is the truth.”

“If you are not hiding anything, there is nothing to be afraid of,” Annica said. We do not mind if people criticize us because we are telling the truth about what happened.”
