Micheal Essien Tips Chelsea to win next season Premier league

Given the quality of players in the Chelsea squad, Michael Essien believes Chelsea will win the Premier League in 2021-22.

The Blues have had a successful turnaround since Thomas Tuchel took over as manager after Frank Lampard was relieved of his duties.

Their outstanding results have earned them a place in the Champions League final, where they will face Manchester City, a Premier League rival.

Essien claims the Blues will be a big contender for the Premier League title next season, based on their recent performances.

“Based on how fine they have looked since Thomas Tuchel took over, I am going to suggest Chelsea win the league next season,” Essien told the Mirror.

“They are my first choice for the title, but United, Liverpool, and City will all be close behind.”

“I believe Thomas Tuchel has all the resources he needs to fight for the title next season with the players he has at his disposal.”

“They have got big names all over the ground, from the goalkeepers to the forwards.” They have got everything.

“I think it is fantastic that they have Thiago Silva at the back; his experience is invaluable to that unit, and he is such a great name that the younger players will benefit from.”

“He has a great command of the backline.” They are really good in that region even without him, with Antonio Rudiger, Kurt Zouma, and Andreas Christensen.”

Essien spent nine years at Stamford Bridge and made 168 Premier League appearances during his time there.

The former Ghana international assisted the Blues in winning a host of trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Community Shield, and League Cup.

Chelsea is currently fourth in the Premier League table and will be hoping to stay in the top four to guarantee a place in the Champions League group stage next season, though victory in the European competition’s final on May 29 could also automatically qualify them for the next edition.
