Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, also known as MzVee, a Ghanaian Afrobeats/Afro Dancehall singer, has released a new music video for her album Vanity.

‘Vanity,’ which appears on the ‘InVEEncible’ soundtrack, features afrobeats phenomenon and ‘Visa’ hitmaker Kelvynboy.

Overall, ‘Vanity’ is an inspiring song that addresses the recent threat of obtaining easy cash. It discusses the importance of modesty in the pursuit of excellence, as well as reverence to God for all accomplishments.

The timing of the song is perfect, as reports of money rituals, especially among teens and young people, have dominated the news in recent months.

The official video was released today, May 14, and can be found HERE.

Vanity is set to take the music industry by storm, maintaining her continued hype and incredible streak of back-to-back hit singles following her unprecedented return last year.

Any earthly accumulation, including automobiles, homes, companies, and so on, is vanity, according to MzVee, and will gradually fade away, necessitating the need for people to take life slowly.

She encouraged listeners to be modest, respectful, and prayerful in order to be led down the right direction.

MzVee commented on the album, revealing that this song had to be outdooreed due to the rise in cases of young people engaged in internet theft, money rituals, and other illegal activities in their search for quick cash.

“We as the youth need to understand certain basic principles. I have a huge platform and influence via my music and I’ll be shooting myself in the foot if I do not tackle issues of this nature.”

On why Kelvynboy was chosen for the record, MzVee intimated that “Kelvynboy has a story. He has been through thick and thin and came out victorious. I do not see anyone better-placed, coupled with the afrobeats feel I needed on the sound.”
