
I’m a national asset, stop treating me like a stranger – Derek Boateng cries after his arrest (Video drops)
Derek Boateng, a former Black Stars player, screamed foul when he was detained for speeding by the police.

The former Fulham Midefielpder was detained on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, along with other drivers, for breaking traffic laws.
On the Olusegun Obasanjo Way and J A Kufour Avenue in Accra, the Ghana Police Service’s Accra Central Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) conducted a routine exercise in collaboration with the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS).
Derek Boateng spoke with the officers after being apprehended and stated that he is a national asset and that the police officers will locate him if they want to.
He disliked the fact that, despite his national duty as a player, he was regarded like an outsider.
