Selina Boateng, a well-known Ghanaian female gospel singer, has shared an emotional story about her life before she rose to fame.
According to the singer of “Wobe Ye Nhyira,” she had to work at one stage in her life to help her parents take car of the house while she was still in school.
Selina Boateng demonstrated to Afia Amankwaah Tamakloe that even though her parents’ financial situation was not dire, she had to work hard to help them.
“…even though it was not difficult for us, I chose to struggle and not to depend on anyone; I struggle in everything. I have sold ice water in the past, but most people do not believe me,” Selina explained.
When she was selling the ‘Ice Water,’ the singer remarked about how quickly people remembered her. “The funny part is, I still sing when I am selling water,” she said. Some also referred to her as the “singer who sells ice-water…
” I will keep singing until the water runs out.”
