#FixTheCountry: Ex-President Kufuor sends peaceful advice President Akufo-Addo

Following the #FixTheCountry insurgency, Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor sent what can only be characterized as a humble letter to President Akufo-Addo.

Over the past week, social media has been flooded with messages from angry Ghanaians who feel the country’s institutions are broken, resulting in misery.

These people and organizations have heaped hot coals on the president’s shoulders, demanding that he reform the country: provide safe and secure power and water, repair the crumbling infrastructure, create employment, and change the economy.

They still want the government to lower taxes, stop spending unnecessarily, and keep its promises. Besides that, some Ghanaians feel that nothing can be fixed before citizens’ habits are changed.

Any government officials have also made this comparison, which former President Kufuor insists is a load of nonsense.

President Kufour said in a tweet aimed at President Akufo-Addo and all those against the #FixTheCountry movement, “All must agree that; “unless you transform the lives of ordinary people, you cannot hope to transform Africa.”
